Hope Harbor Community Assistance Overview

The Community Assistance program is open to everyone in our community, including single men, and is not limited to Hope Harbor residents. If you need any of the items or services listed below, visit our Service Center and complete a brief form.

What is Community Assistance?

We collect and process donated goods, distributing them to those in need through our program. We also offer items and services through funding and monetary donations.

Donation Information

Donations can be dropped off or mailed to our Service Center at 615 W 1st Street during office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) or after hours at the southeast entrance of our Shelter at 610 W Division Street. For after-hours donations, call (308) 383-4634.

Items Provided

  • Food boxes

  • Hygiene items

  • Baby formula

  • Diapers

  • Furniture (when available)

  • Household items (e.g., bedding, kitchen utensils, silverware, plates, pots, and pans)

Services Provided

  • Individualized referrals and budgeting assistance

  • Transportation assistance (in special circumstances)

  • Gas vouchers (primarily for medical or immigration appointments)

  • Bus vouchers
